Chvrches are a Scottish synth pop band whose combination of soaring melodies, electronic production and emotionally direct songwriting has earned them an international following. Formed in Glasgow in 2011, the group consists of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. Their breakthrough arrived with the acclaimed debut album The Bones of What You Believe, establishing Chvrches as one of the defining electronic pop acts of their generation.
Across albums including Every Open Eye, Love Is Dead and Screen Violence, Chvrches have continued to develop their combination of bright synthesizers, powerful rhythms and darker lyrical themes. Songs including "The Mother We Share", "Leave a Trace" and "Clearest Blue" have become key tracks in their catalogue, while collaborations and extensive international touring have expanded their audience around the world.
Chvrches concerts transform their polished electronic sound into a vivid live experience, combining commanding vocals, synthesizers, dramatic lighting and powerful production. Their songs can move from intimate emotional moments to huge electronic crescendos, making the band's catalogue particularly effective on stage. For fans of synth pop, electronic music and alternative pop, seeing Chvrches live offers the chance to experience their biggest songs with the scale and energy they deserve.
