Diary Of Dreams is a German darkwave and electronic music project founded by Adrian Hates, known for combining atmospheric electronics, powerful rhythms and introspective songwriting. Emerging in the early 1990s, the project has developed a distinctive identity within the darkwave, gothic and alternative electronic scenes. Across an extensive catalogue, Diary Of Dreams has explored themes of emotion, identity, isolation and human experience through music that can move from haunting and intimate to dramatic and intense.
Albums including End of Flowers, One of 18 Angels, Freak Perfume and Nekrolog 43 helped establish Diary Of Dreams as an enduring presence in European alternative music. Adrian Hates has continually developed the project's sound through electronic production, guitars, evocative vocals and carefully constructed arrangements. This combination of melody and darkness has attracted a dedicated international audience while allowing Diary Of Dreams to evolve without losing its unmistakable character.
Live, Diary Of Dreams transform their atmospheric recordings into an intense concert experience, balancing electronic textures with the physical energy of a full stage performance. Driving rhythms and darker passages sit alongside emotional melodies, creating a show that can feel both intimate and expansive. For fans of darkwave, gothic music and alternative electronica, a Diary Of Dreams concert offers the opportunity to experience decades of distinctive songwriting in a powerful live setting.
