Biography

Biography - Do Nothing

Do Nothing tickets at Eventim.co.uk, your link to everything Do Nothing, concerts, tours, tickets, news and reviews.

Do Nothing, the Nottingham alternative rock band, have built a distinctive reputation with their sharp songwriting, offbeat humour, and restless blend of post-punk, indie rock, and art rock. Fronted by vocalist Chris Bailey, the band emerged from the UK underground with releases including the Zero Dollar Bill and Glueland EPs, before expanding their sound on their debut album, Snake Sideways. Angular guitars, unpredictable rhythms, and Bailey's distinctive vocal delivery give Do Nothing a character all their own, combining nervous energy with memorable melodies and clever observations of modern life.

Live, Do Nothing bring their songs to life with a compelling mix of intensity, wit, and controlled unpredictability. Their jagged guitar lines and driving rhythms feel especially immediate on stage, while Bailey's charismatic presence adds an eccentric edge to the performance. From tense, slow building passages to bursts of energetic alternative rock, their concerts showcase the dynamics and personality that have helped the band stand out within Britain's contemporary indie and post-punk scene.

For fans of inventive indie rock, post-punk, and bands that refuse to follow an obvious formula, seeing Do Nothing live offers the chance to experience their music at its most direct and engaging. With intelligent songwriting, distinctive musicianship, and a live sound capable of shifting from understated tension to exhilarating release, a Do Nothing concert is an exciting choice for anyone searching for something beyond conventional guitar music.
