Eddie 9V is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, whose music draws deeply from blues, soul and vintage Southern sounds. Born Brooks Mason, he has developed a reputation for combining expressive guitar playing and soulful vocals with an approach inspired by classic recordings while maintaining the immediacy of a contemporary performer.
Albums including Left My Soul in Memphis, Little Black Flies and Capricorn have helped establish Eddie 9V as a distinctive voice in modern roots music. His recordings embrace warm production, blues guitar, soul rhythms and the spontaneous character of musicians playing together, reflecting influences from earlier generations without simply reproducing the past.
Live, Eddie 9V brings that roots driven sound into an environment where guitar playing, groove and improvisation can take on additional intensity. His combination of blues, soul and rock is particularly suited to the stage, allowing the musicians to stretch songs and respond to the energy in the room. For blues enthusiasts and fans of authentic Southern inspired music, an Eddie 9V concert offers a chance to experience a modern artist carrying classic sounds forward.
