Fake Names are a punk rock supergroup bringing together musicians with deep roots in influential punk and alternative bands. Featuring Brian Baker, Michael Hampton, Dennis Lyxzen and Johnny Temple, the group combines decades of experience from acts including Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Refused and Girls Against Boys. Together, they channel that history into direct, melodic and energetic punk rock.
The band's self titled debut album introduced Fake Names as more than a collection of familiar musicians, establishing a sound driven by sharp guitars, memorable hooks and the urgency associated with classic punk. Later material has continued to develop that identity, combining the members' individual backgrounds with songwriting that feels immediate rather than dependent on nostalgia.
Live, Fake Names bring considerable punk experience onto the same stage, creating concerts built around energy, musicianship and concise songs designed to make an impact. Their combined histories give the performances an unmistakable connection to several generations of underground music. For fans of punk, hardcore and alternative rock, a Fake Names concert offers the rare opportunity to see musicians from some of the scene's most respected bands performing together.
