Feedback is a name closely associated with one of the most fundamental and expressive sounds in amplified music, the interaction between instruments, microphones, speakers and volume. As a live music identity, Feedback suggests an experience rooted in sonic energy, experimentation and the physical power of sound. It is an approach that naturally connects with audiences interested in alternative music and performances that explore texture as much as traditional melody.
Across rock, punk, noise and experimental music, feedback has been transformed from an unwanted technical effect into a creative instrument in its own right. Artists have used sustained tones, distortion and amplification to create everything from subtle atmosphere to overwhelming walls of sound. Feedback draws on that spirit of experimentation, placing sonic possibilities and live energy at the centre of the experience.
In a live environment, Feedback offers the opportunity to experience sound as something physical as well as musical. Volume, texture and the relationship between performers and equipment can create an atmosphere that changes from moment to moment, giving the event an unpredictable edge. For listeners drawn to experimental performance, alternative sounds and the intensity of amplified music, Feedback offers a live experience designed to be felt as well as heard.
