Goldie Lookin Chain (GLC) are the undisputed kings of Welsh comedy rap, blending old-school hip-hop beats with razor-sharp humour, biting satire, and more gold chains than you can count. Hailing from Newport, South Wales, the group shot to fame in the early 2000s with cult hits like “Guns Don’t Kill People, Rappers Do” and “Your Mother’s Got a Penis,” carving out a unique space in UK music that’s equal parts parody, protest, and party. GLC’s lyrics hilariously skewer everything from pop culture to politics, delivered in thick Welsh accents and wrapped in retro tracksuit swagger.
Live, Goldie Lookin Chain are a guaranteed good time. Their gigs are rowdy, raucous, and full of crowd participation—more like a wild house party than a traditional concert. Fans turn up in full GLC gear, ready to chant every word and bounce to old-school beats that fuse nostalgia with comedy gold. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a curious newcomer, their shows are pure escapism: no-frills, no filter, and no shortage of laughs.
For those looking to relive the glory days of early 2000s British humour or just up for a mad night out Goldie Lookin Chain never disappoint. It's hip-hop, but not as you know it… and that’s exactly the point.
