About Hay Fever
Emmy, two-time Tony, Screen Actors Guild and Drama Desk winner Christine Baranski makes her West End debut as the iconic Judith Bliss, sparring alongside Academy Award-nominated stage and screen legend Richard E. Grant in a stinging new production of Noël Coward’s irresistible comedy directed by Emily Burns.

Last year, Judith retired from her life-on-stage. Already, she misses the applause.

Idling away at their country home, the rest of the family – hermetic novelist husband David and failure-to-launch children Sorrel and Simon – are too self-involved to be a good audience.

So, Judith invites a young fan as her guest for the weekend. But unbeknownst to her, each of the Blisses have a guest of their own arriving at the very same time.

Completely unsuited to hosting and allergic to compromise, the house quickly erupts into a chaos of parlour games, put-downs and unrequested encores.

Hay Fever, Noel Coward's timeless comedy of manners, returns to the West End at London's prestigious Wyndham's Theatre, delighting audiences with its razor-sharp wit, eccentric characters, and brilliantly observed family dynamics. First performed in 1925, the play remains one of Coward's most celebrated works, following the outrageously theatrical Bliss family as a quiet weekend in the countryside descends into a whirlwind of misunderstandings, romantic entanglements, and hilarious social chaos. Its sparkling dialogue and enduring humour have secured its place as a classic of British theatre.

Presented at the historic Wyndham's Theatre, Hay Fever combines elegant staging, exceptional performances, and the unmistakable charm of a Noel Coward masterpiece. The production captures the play's fast-paced comedy and sophisticated wit, allowing audiences to enjoy a thoroughly entertaining evening filled with memorable characters, impeccable comic timing, and classic West End theatre at its finest.

For lovers of classic comedy, British theatre, and unforgettable live performances, Hay Fever is an essential West End experience. Whether discovering Noel Coward's work for the first time or revisiting one of his greatest plays, audiences can look forward to an evening of laughter, charm, and timeless theatrical excellence.
