James Walsh is a British singer, songwriter, and musician best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Starsailor.

James Andrew Walsh was born on June 9, 1980, in Wigan, England. In the late 1990s, he formed the band Starsailor with childhood friends James Stelfox (bass), Ben Byrne (drums), and Barry Westhead (keyboards). The band quickly gained attention for their melodic rock sound and heartfelt lyrics.

Starsailor's debut album, "Love Is Here," was released in 2001 and received critical acclaim, helping them establish a dedicated fan base. The album included hit singles like "Alcoholic" and "Good Souls," solidifying James Walsh's reputation as a talented singer and songwriter.

Over the years, Starsailor released several successful albums, including "Silence Is Easy" (2003), "On the Outside" (2005), and "All This Life" (2017). James Walsh's emotive vocals and introspective songwriting remained central to the band's appeal.
