Janus Stark are a British punk rock band led by guitarist and vocalist Gizz Butt, a musician whose career has also included work with The Prodigy and English Dogs. Emerging in the 1990s, Janus Stark developed a melodic but forceful approach to punk, combining driving guitars, memorable hooks and the direct energy associated with the British alternative rock scene.
The band gained particular attention with their album Great Adventure Cigar, a release that helped establish Janus Stark among listeners interested in punk, alternative rock and melodic guitar music. Their songs balance urgency with strong melodies, giving the band a recognisable sound that draws from punk tradition without being restricted by it.
Live, Janus Stark channel their catalogue into energetic performances driven by guitars, powerful rhythms and Gizz Butt's extensive experience on stage. Their concerts offer longtime followers the opportunity to revisit established material while introducing newer audiences to a band with deep connections to British punk and alternative music. For fans of passionate, guitar driven live shows, Janus Stark deliver music designed to be heard at volume.
