Jim White is an American singer, songwriter, and storyteller known for his distinctive blend of alternative country, Americana, folk, and Southern Gothic music. Emerging in the 1990s, White attracted widespread attention with his debut album, The Mysterious Tale of How I Shouted Wrong Eyed Jesus!, establishing a songwriting style filled with vivid characters, dark humour, spirituality, and reflections on life in the American South. Across an extensive recording career, he has continued to explore the stranger corners of American culture through atmospheric arrangements and deeply individual storytelling.

Live, Jim White brings his songs into an intimate setting where storytelling and musicianship are equally important. His performances move naturally between haunting Americana, understated folk, and more experimental passages, with his distinctive vocals giving each song a personal and cinematic quality. Spoken introductions and observations can add further context to the characters and experiences behind the music, making the concert an engaging journey through White's unusual creative world.

For fans of Americana, alternative country, Southern Gothic storytelling, and adventurous singer songwriters, a Jim White concert offers the opportunity to experience a truly individual artist at close range. His combination of evocative lyrics, atmospheric music, and compelling storytelling makes his live shows particularly rewarding for listeners who value songs with character, depth, and a perspective outside the mainstream.
