Jon Boden is an acclaimed English singer, songwriter, musician, and composer, best known as the lead singer and principal arranger of the award winning folk band Bellowhead. A major figure in contemporary British folk music, Boden has also built an extensive solo career and worked with John Spiers as the folk duo Spiers and Boden. His ambitious solo catalogue includes the post apocalyptic album trilogy Songs from the Floodplain, Afterglow, and Last Mile Home, demonstrating a creative approach that combines traditional folk influences with original storytelling and richly imagined musical worlds.

Live, Jon Boden draws on his deep knowledge of folk tradition, multi instrumental musicianship, and natural storytelling ability to create performances with both intimacy and dramatic scope. Depending on the setting, audiences can encounter traditional songs, solo material, instrumental passages, and music connected to his wider career. His distinctive voice and thoughtful arrangements give familiar folk traditions renewed vitality while retaining the communal quality at the heart of the genre.

For fans of English folk music, exceptional songwriting, and musicians with a genuine command of their craft, a Jon Boden concert offers the opportunity to see one of the most respected figures in modern British folk on stage. From reflective storytelling to rousing songs made for a room full of voices, his performances celebrate both the history and continuing evolution of folk music.
