Keywest is a Dublin-based band known for their captivating blend of pop, rock, and folk music. The band was formed in 2011 and consists of Andrew Kavanagh (vocals and guitar), Andrew Glover (vocals and piano), Jimi Lock (lead guitar), Sam Marder (bass), and Harry Sullivan (drums).

Keywest initially started as a street performance act, busking on the streets of Dublin, which helped them gain a loyal following and hone their musical skills. Their grassroots approach paid off when they independently released their debut album, "The Message," in 2012, which quickly gained popularity in Ireland. This album featured their distinctive mix of melodic pop-rock and heartfelt lyrics.

Over the years, Keywest has continued to build on their success, releasing several albums and singles that have received critical acclaim and commercial success. Their music often incorporates relatable themes of love, life, and personal experiences, making them resonate with a broad audience.

Shocking venue

Manchester, Bread shed, 20/11/2021

My wife and I have seen keywest many times at the deaf institute and at the University in Manchester and we have had an amazing night. But this time at the bread she'd was shocking. The noise of the instruments over powered kavs voice to the point you couldn't hear him. If we hadn't of known the songs he was singing then we wouldn't of known what he was singing. Please go back to the other venues. Ps looking forward to seeing you perform in Ireland next year.

Fantastic Keywest Gig

A very long 2 year wait to see Keywest again and they were fantastic. They gave a brilliant performance of all the favourites and played for nearly 2 hours. Disappointing for them that the gig wasn’t very well advertised or attended. The band promoted the gig through Facebook/ Instagram but Google failed to find any other advertisements. Checking the venue prior to the gig the website advised the venue was ‘closed’ and calls went to answerphone. Some ticket agencies advised doors at 7pm, others ...

Not their best

Venue was very good. Seen Keywest many times but felt there was too much talking and not enough music. After waiting for so long to get back to live music we came out feeling quite deflated. Music we did hear was great not, just enough of it.
