Nu Civilisation Orchestra is a London based ensemble associated with Tomorrow's Warriors, bringing together outstanding musicians to explore jazz, orchestral music, contemporary composition, and the work of influential artists. Under the artistic direction of composer, arranger, and bassist Peter Edwards, the orchestra has developed ambitious programmes that celebrate musical heritage while creating space for new interpretations and ideas. Its projects demonstrate the breadth of contemporary British jazz and the creative possibilities that emerge when orchestral scale meets improvisation.

In concert, Nu Civilisation Orchestra uses the depth and versatility of a large ensemble to create performances rich in colour, rhythm, and musical detail. Brass, woodwind, strings, and rhythm section can combine in expansive arrangements, moving between intricate ensemble passages and expressive individual performances. This approach enables the orchestra to revisit important repertoire while presenting it through a contemporary perspective shaped by a new generation of musicians.

For fans of jazz, orchestral performance, and ambitious contemporary music, Nu Civilisation Orchestra concerts offer the chance to hear familiar influences transformed through bold arrangements and exceptional ensemble playing. With its commitment to musical exploration and emerging talent, the orchestra occupies a distinctive position within Britain's vibrant modern jazz landscape.
