Singin' in the Rain is a beloved musical comedy inspired by the classic 1952 film starring Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Set during Hollywood's transition from silent cinema to talking pictures, the story follows movie star Don Lockwood as the arrival of sound transforms the film industry and creates unexpected challenges for his career, his costar Lina Lamont and aspiring performer Kathy Selden.
The musical is packed with celebrated songs including "Good Morning", "Make 'Em Laugh", "Moses Supposes" and the unmistakable title number, "Singin' in the Rain". Combining comedy, romance and elaborate choreography, stage productions preserve the joyful spirit of the original film while using the possibilities of live theatre to create their own spectacular interpretation of Golden Age Hollywood.
Live, Singin' in the Rain offers audiences the opportunity to experience its famous songs and dance sequences with all the immediacy of a theatrical performance.
