Biography

Biography - The Moonlandingz

The Moonlandingz, the genre-bending British band born from a fictional universe and brought vividly to life, fuse glam rock, post-punk, and psychedelic pop into a wildly inventive sonic experience. Fronted by the enigmatic Johnny Rocket, portrayed by Lias Saoudi of Fat White Family, the group gained critical acclaim with their debut album Interplanetary Class Classics, produced by Sean Ono Lennon. Their sound is theatrical, irreverent, and socially charged, blending sharp lyricism with infectious hooks and a rebellious artistic vision.

Known for their boundary-pushing collaborations and immersive storytelling, The Moonlandingz exist somewhere between reality and performance art. Their music channels chaos and charisma in equal measure, drawing listeners into a world that feels both satirical and strangely sincere. Critics and fans alike praise their originality, with many highlighting their ability to merge biting cultural commentary with irresistibly danceable rhythms.

Live, The Moonlandingz deliver a spectacle that is as unpredictable as it is electrifying. Fans describe their shows as “gloriously unhinged” and “a full sensory overload,” with theatrical antics, bold visuals, and high-octane performances that blur the line between gig and performance art. Each concert becomes a shared experience of energy, humor, and raw expression.
