The Motans is the musical project led by Moldovan singer songwriter Denis Roabes, known for an emotive blend of pop, electronic production and contemporary songwriting. Emerging in the 2010s, The Motans quickly attracted attention with melodic songs that combine modern production with personal lyrics exploring love, relationships, memory and self discovery. The project has since developed a substantial audience, particularly across Romania and Moldova, while continuing to reach listeners beyond its original market.

The Motans catalogue combines polished pop songwriting with atmospheric electronic textures and a distinctive vocal presence. Songs including "Versus", "Weekend" and "August" have helped shape the project's identity, while collaborations with other artists have expanded its reach within the European pop scene. At the centre of the music is an emphasis on emotion and melody, creating tracks that can move naturally between introspective listening and larger, more energetic settings.

The Motans concerts bring this combination of modern pop production and emotional songwriting into a live environment. Atmospheric arrangements, recognisable melodies and the connection between Denis Roabes and his audience give the songs a different scale on stage, with quieter moments balanced by more energetic sections. For existing listeners and audiences discovering the project for the first time, a The Motans concert offers an opportunity to experience its distinctive mixture of contemporary pop and personal storytelling live.
