Biography

Biography - The Sherlocks

The Sherlocks tickets at Eventim.co.uk – your link to everything The Sherlocks – concerts, tours, tickets, news and reviews.

The Sherlocks are an English indie rock band from South Yorkshire, known for their anthemic choruses, sharp songwriting, and relentless touring that has earned them a reputation as one of the UK’s most hardworking and dynamic live acts. Their sound blends the energy of early Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines with a melodic sensibility all their own, resulting in a catalogue of modern British rock staples.

Formed in 2010 by brothers Kiaran (vocals, guitar) and Brandon Crook (drums), the band quickly rose through the ranks of the UK’s indie scene, cutting their teeth in small venues before supporting major acts like Kings of Leon, Liam Gallagher, and Kaiser Chiefs. Their grassroots following grew rapidly thanks to their impassioned live shows and relatable lyrics about love, youth, and small-town life.

The Sherlocks’ debut album Live for the Moment (2017) entered the UK Albums Chart at No. 6 and featured fan favourites such as Chasing Shadows and Will You Be There?. This success was followed by Under Your Sky (2019), a more mature and polished record that expanded their sound with stadium-sized production and introspective songwriting. Subsequent albums like World I Understand (2022) and People Like Me & You (2023) continued their evolution, cementing their place as one of the most consistent bands in contemporary British indie rock.

Known for their tireless touring schedule, The Sherlocks have built a loyal fanbase across the UK and Europe, regularly selling out venues and appearing at major festivals including Reading & Leeds and Isle of Wight. Their music captures the grit and optimism of working-class life, balancing anthemic hooks with heartfelt storytelling.

The band shows no signs of slowing down, with new music and tours continuing to showcase their passion for powerful, guitar-driven songwriting. Their commitment to authenticity and connection ensures that The Sherlocks remain one of the most exciting acts in the modern indie landscape.
