Thee Headcoats & Thee Headcoatees bring together two influential names from the British garage rock underground, both closely associated with the prolific musician, artist, and poet Billy Childish. Thee Headcoats emerged from the Medway scene with a fiercely independent approach to garage punk, combining raw guitar riffs, stripped back production, and influences from rhythm and blues, punk, and early rock and roll. Thee Headcoatees developed alongside them, originally featuring Holly Golightly, Kyra LaRubia, Ludella Black, and Bongo Debbie, and became celebrated in their own right for their energetic garage sound, distinctive vocals, and uncompromising attitude.

Live, Thee Headcoats & Thee Headcoatees offer a direct and exhilarating celebration of garage rock at its most authentic. Gritty guitars, driving rhythms, memorable melodies, and an intentionally raw approach create performances rooted in the spirit of independent rock and roll. Their music avoids unnecessary polish in favour of immediacy and character, making their concerts particularly appealing to audiences who value the rebellious energy of garage punk and the enduring influence of the Medway music scene.

For fans of garage rock, punk, rhythm and blues, and independent British music, seeing Thee Headcoats & Thee Headcoatees in concert is a chance to experience two cult acts with a lasting place in underground music history. Their combination of distinctive songwriting, DIY spirit, and energetic musicianship makes this a compelling live experience for longtime followers and anyone discovering their influential catalogue for the first time.
