By Bus or Train

Many local bus services, Tyne& Wear Metro and rail services stop at Central Station – which is only around a 5 minute walk away from the Arena. Buses from Hexham, Stanley, Consett and many parts of Gateshead and Newcastle all stop at Central Station.

Eldon Square and Haymarket Bus Stations are around a 10 minute walk from the Arena.

By Taxi

Taxis can pick up on Railway Street / Arena Way before and after events. There is also a taxi rank at Central Station.

The Utilita Arena Newcastle is only 3 minutes from the A1 North - South route. Take the A184 signposted 'City Centre', then follow the A189 over the Redheugh Bridge. When in the vicinity of the Arena, follow the signs to the appropriate car parks.

For sat nav users, the full venue address is: Utilita Arena, Arena Way, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7NA.

There are over 600 convenient Official Car Park spaces available on site at the rear of the building – offering CCTV cameras and regular security patrols.

Alternatively, when the car park is full, we recommend using the NCP Car Park located next to the Arena, with its entrance on Redheugh Bridge Road. The usual fee to park your car for an event is £6.

Cars with wheelchair patrons can park at the Arena subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Pre-booking is not available.

Booking Tickets

Accessible tickets can be booked through the venues ticketing partner or in person at the Arena Box Office.

Please note: all tickets are subject to a facility fee. The price varies dependant on the event.

Customers are advised to share their access requirements, and any other information that may help the team book suitable seats within the arena at the time of booking.

Free Tickets for Companions

Where a patron with disabilities requires a companion to attend, then the combined total cost for patron and companion will be equivalent to the full price of one ticket.

Please note: this must be stated at time of booking, before payment is made.

Venue Facilities

Utilita Arena provides the following facilities to assist with access requirements:

• Accessible parking is available free of charge on site, with the display of a valid blue badge (badge holder must be present & spaces are subject to availability)
• A box office window with a lowered counter
• All box office windows are fitted with a loop system
• Concession & Merchandise stands with lowered counter
• Designated seating areas within the venue for wheelchair users – or those with walking difficulties – and their companions
• Unisex accessible toilets fitted with radar keys
• Wheelchair accessible toilets available on every level
• A hearing loop system within the lower tiers. Please speak to the Accessibility Team for more details on booking this area
• Diabetic food is allowed in the venue
