Islington Assembly Hall is conveniently located on Upper Street and neighbours Islington Town Hall. The best way to get to us is by public transport, as we're well connected by the Tube, rail and bus network.

By bus: 4, 19, 30, 43 (the "Islington Town Hall" stop is right outside)
By tube: The Victoria and Overground lines at Highbury and Islington Station (seven-minute walk) or Northern line at Angel Station (12-minute walk)
By train: National rail services to Highbury and Islington Station and Essex Road Station (10-minute walk)
By road: The front entrance to the building is on Upper Street. There is very limited parking in the area.

There is no customer parking at the venue. Hirers and blue badge holders only may request parking spaces in the adjacent Town Hall forecourt by contacting the Islington Assembly Hall team directly.

Islington Assembly Hall is a welcoming and accessible venue that strives to ensure everyone can enjoy events there. The venue has been awarded the Attitude Is Everything Bronze Standard Charter of Best Practice for their commitment to venue access to customers and performers, and venue staff are all trained in equalities and disabilities awareness.

The venue is located on the street level. There are two small steps just inside the main entrance with a side entrance stright onto the ground floor level. There are no pillars or fixed obstacles in the main hall. The balcony and basement can only be accessed by stairs during events, but at all concerts, there is an accessible area close to the stage and accessible toilet, reserved for wheelchair users and their personal assistants. The accesible toilet is on the ground floor and is fitted with an alarm cord.

Customers who require assistance and who have bought a ticket for a concert here can request free entry for a personal assistant or carer by contacting the Islington Assembly Hall team directly on 020 7527 8900 or assemblyhall@islington.gov.uk. We will take your details and make arrangements with the box office and security staff so they know to expect you and grant your personal assistant free entry. To guarantee free entry for your personal assistant, you will need to bring along evidence that you require assistance, such as a letter from the Department of Work and Pensions or NHS to show the box office on arrival. For more information, visit the venue’s website.
