DISABLED FACILITIES AVAILABLE AT THE CORN EXCHANGE THEATRE
Access to the theatre is available via Sukies entrance doors and the Theatre Lounge leading into the theatre foyer or, if requested, the main theatre double doors area, where a removeable ramp is available. We also have a lift to the stage and dressing rooms from the ground floor in our back stage area. Once in our foyer area we have a lift to all floors and wheelchairs available for patrons use.
The WC facilities on the first floor include a fully fitted disabled toilet.
Our theatre has a designated area at the top of the auditorium (away from the tiered seating area and sloping aisle) where we can accomodate wheelchairs and carers and those less able to walk down the theatre aisle.
Our stewards are trained to support all of our patrons and can arrange pre-ordered drinks, Ice Creams etc to be brought over to the top of auditorium area.
We have a hearing loop fitted in our box office and in the auditorium (Hearing aids should be set to the "T" position).
We also have talking book CDs in our box office advertising our forthcoming shows, we can also provide a descriptive narrator for any of our shows (please state your request for this service at least 7 days in advance of show date).
We are happy to guide anyone around our theatre, but are unable to offer a one-to-one carers service.
Our Theatre Lounge area is fully assessible from the front and back of the building, the foyer lift and the back stage lift give access to this area for disabled patrons. We also have a back entrance which is on the level of the Theatre Lounge which can be used with prior notification to our Box Office Team.
Please email the Box Office Team (stamfordcetc@hotmail.co.uk) prior to your arrival, if you require any further assistance.
