American singer-songwriter Faye Webster has become known for her unique blend of indie pop, alt-country, R&B, and soft rock. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she began her musical journey early, self-releasing her debut album, Run and Tell in 2013 at age 16.
After a brief stint in Nashville at Belmont University, where she studied songwriting, Webster returned to Atlanta and signed with Awful Records in 2017. At the time, she was the only folk artist on their roster. She went on to release her self-titled second album, Faye Webster that same year.
In 2018, Webster signed with the label Secretly Canadian for third album, Atlanta Millionaires Club, which surfaced in 2019. This album showcased her evolving sound and received critical acclaim. Her fourth studio album, I Know I'm Funny Haha, was released in 2021.
Most recently, Webster offered up her fifth studio album, Underdressed at the Symphony in March 2024 which was released to universal acclaim. Recorded with her long-time band at Sonic Ranch in Texas, she writes with an easy intimacy - exploring complex emotions with humour and a sense of cathartic release.
Outside of music, Faye Webster is also a photographer. She has captured many images of local Atlanta rappers over the years, including her high school classmate Lil Yachty, who she also collaborated with on her single Lego Ring in 2024. Her photography has also been featured in publications including Rolling Stone and Billboard.
