Aaron Catlow and Kit Hawes are British folk musicians known for their accomplished instrumental playing, thoughtful arrangements and deep connection to traditional music. Catlow on fiddle and Hawes on guitar bring together years of experience within the UK folk scene, creating performances built around close musical communication and a shared understanding of traditional repertoire. Their partnership combines technical ability with the warmth and spontaneity that sit at the heart of great acoustic music.

Both musicians have contributed to respected folk projects, with their work demonstrating influences drawn from English traditional music and wider acoustic styles. As a duo, fiddle and guitar provide a versatile foundation for arrangements that can move from delicate and reflective passages to lively rhythmic performances. Their musicianship allows traditional ideas to feel immediate and contemporary while maintaining a clear connection to the music's roots.

Live, Aaron Catlow and Kit Hawes place musicianship and interaction at the centre of the experience. The intimate nature of fiddle and guitar allows audiences to hear the detail in every arrangement, while the energy of traditional tunes gives performances a natural sense of movement. For folk enthusiasts, acoustic music fans and listeners who appreciate outstanding instrumental playing, an Aaron Catlow and Kit Hawes concert offers an engaging celebration of contemporary British folk music.
