Azekel is a Nigerian-British singer-songwriter, musician and producer based in London creating experimental Soul/RnB. In addition to several critically acclaimed releases, he has collaborated with the likes of Massive Attack, Gorillaz, and Kate Moss. Azekel has also toured internationally, and graced the stages of festivals including Glastonbury and Meltdown.
Azekel's recent release Analyze Love is a project that sees Azekel attempt to understand love and its different forms and facets. Over 15 carefully-crafted tracks, he weaves between romance, parenthood, friendship and family, exploring a range of emotions alongside collaborators including Nao, Kojey Radical and Ebo Taylor. Analyze Love also represents a “homecoming” for Azekel, as he embraces his West African heritage both sonically and aesthetically. Much of the project was recorded in Ghana, and some of the visuals were shot there as well.
