Bananarama are one of Britain's most successful and enduring pop groups, recognised around the world for their infectious melodies, distinctive vocal harmonies and unmistakable contribution to 1980s pop. Formed in London by Sara Dallin, Keren Woodward and Siobhan Fahey, the group rose from the post punk and new wave era to become international chart stars. Their combination of personality, style and instantly memorable songs has helped Bananarama maintain a loyal audience across several decades.
Their extensive catalogue includes major hits such as "Cruel Summer", "Robert De Niro's Waiting...", "Love in the First Degree", "I Heard a Rumour" and their chart topping version of "Venus". Working with influential producers throughout their career, Bananarama successfully moved between new wave, dance pop and polished mainstream pop while maintaining their own recognisable identity. Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward have continued the Bananarama story with new recordings and live performances, introducing their music to successive generations.
Live, Bananarama deliver a colourful celebration of pop music packed with familiar choruses, danceable rhythms and songs that have remained popular long beyond their original release.
