Banco De Gaia, the pioneering electronic project founded by British producer Toby Marks in the early 1990s, has long been celebrated for blending ambient, trance, dub, and world music influences into expansive, globally inspired soundscapes. Emerging during the formative years of the UK chill out and festival scene, Banco De Gaia became synonymous with intelligent dance music that bridges cultures, weaving together ethnic samples, deep basslines, and atmospheric synth textures. Albums such as Maya and Last Train to Lhasa earned critical acclaim for their cinematic depth and cross cultural resonance, establishing Marks as a respected innovator within electronic music circles.

Live, Banco De Gaia delivers an immersive audiovisual journey that transports audiences far beyond the dance floor. Fans often praise the hypnotic flow of the performances, where layered rhythms and global influences unfold gradually into euphoric crescendos. The combination of intricate production, pulsating beats, and carefully curated visuals creates a festival ready atmosphere that feels both meditative and energising. Each set evolves organically, drawing listeners into a rich sonic landscape that rewards both deep listening and movement.
