Bicep, the dynamic electronic music production and DJ duo, hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and is composed of childhood friends Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar. Formed in 2009 in London, they initiated their musical journey by creating the influential blog "Feel My Bicep," dedicated to showcasing forgotten gems in disco, Chicago house, Detroit techno, and Italo disco edits.

In the early years, Bicep released tracks on various labels such as Throne of Blood, Traveller Records, and Mystery Meat. Their talents caught the attention of Will Saul's Aus Music, leading to a collaboration and the establishment of their own label, Feel My Bicep, in September 2012. Their remarkable achievements were recognized when they received DJ Mag's 'Best of British Breakthrough DJ' award in the same year.

The duo's breakthrough continued with their signing to Ninja Tune in 2017, culminating in the release of their debut album, "Bicep." This album not only entered the UK Albums Chart at number 20 but also garnered widespread acclaim from esteemed publications like Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, and Mixmag. The lead single, "Glue," earned the prestigious title of DJ Mag's (Best of British) Track of the Year.

In 2021, Bicep once again made waves with the release of their second album, "Isles," on Ninja Tune. The lead single, "Apricots," achieved Top-50 positions on both the UK's Official Singles Chart and Billboard's Dance/Electronic Songs Chart. The album's success reached new heights, topping the midweek UK Albums Chart and claiming the number one spot on the UK Official Vinyl Albums Chart.

Amid the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, Bicep adapted by transitioning to ticketed streams, delivering groundbreaking shows broadcast across 5 timezones and watched in over 70 countries worldwide. Their innovative and boundary-pushing audiovisual performance at London's Saatchi Gallery earned them critical acclaim.

The duo's stellar achievements and impact on the music scene were duly recognized with nominations in two categories at the 2021 BRIT Awards, solidifying Bicep's status as both a 'British Group' and 'Breakthrough Artist.' With their infectious beats and innovative approach, Bicep continues to captivate global audiences and push the boundaries of electronic music.
