BIM SKALA BIM are an American ska band formed in Boston in the early 1980s, becoming an important part of the United States ska scene through their energetic combination of ska, reggae, rock and punk influences. Emerging before the major American ska revival of the 1990s, the band helped establish an audience for homegrown ska and developed a reputation for upbeat songwriting, strong rhythms and energetic performances.

Across their career, BIM SKALA BIM have combined the danceable foundations of ska with melodic songwriting and the urgency of alternative rock. Albums including Bones and How's It Goin'? helped introduce their distinctive sound to a wider audience, while years of performing strengthened their position within American ska culture. Their music reflects both respect for the traditions of the genre and a willingness to incorporate contemporary influences.

Live, BIM SKALA BIM deliver the kind of energetic performance that makes ska particularly effective in a concert setting. Upbeat rhythms, lively arrangements and a strong sense of interaction encourage audiences to move from the opening songs onwards. For longtime ska followers and newer listeners discovering the genre, a BIM SKALA BIM concert offers an opportunity to experience a band with decades of history and a sound created for the live stage.
