Blueprint are a Liverpool-based five-piece jazz-fusion band whose music brings together intricate rhythms, rich harmonies and melodic vocals. Drawing on contemporary jazz and a range of musical influences, the group create songs that balance adventurous arrangements with a strong sense of groove. Their sound moves between shifting time signatures and flowing melodies, giving listeners plenty to discover in each composition.
The band's influences include Hiatus Kaiyote, Joni Mitchell and the modern London jazz scene. Blueprint combine these inspirations with their own approach to songwriting, exploring philosophical and personal themes through their lyrics. The interplay between the musicians is central to their sound, with rhythms and arrangements that evolve as their songs unfold.
Live, Blueprint bring their blend of jazz-fusion and contemporary songwriting to the stage, giving audiences the chance to experience the group's musical interplay in person. Their performance at Future Yard in Birkenhead offers an opportunity to hear their compositions in a live setting. For fans of modern jazz, expressive vocals and rhythm-led music, Blueprint offer an introduction to their adventurous sound.
