Born of Osiris is a progressive metal band from Palatine, Illinois. Formed in 2003, the band underwent several name changes (Diminished in 2003, Your Heart Engraved in 2004, and Rosecrance in 2006) before settling on Born of Osiris. They are currently signed to sumerian records, which has released both of their full length albums (A Higher Place, and The Discovery) and their first EP/Mini-album, The New Reign. The complexity of their songs allows them to have toured with a more diverse selection of bands, from technical death metal acts such as Beneath the Massacre, to deathcore heroes Winds of Plague, and even grindcore (having toured with See You Next Tuesday).
