In a heartfelt interview with Robin Galloway on Pure Radio, Beattie expressed his pride in infusing the Scottish essence into his music, emphasizing his deep-rooted connection to his homeland.

June 26, 2020, marked the release of Beattie's poignant music video for "Salamander Street," shedding light on the story of a former classmate's journey into prostitution in Edinburgh.

February 24, 2023, witnessed the launch of Beattie's sophomore album, "VANDALS," which stormed to the top of the national iTunes chart, surpassing heavyweights like Gorillaz, Pink, and Adam Lambert. Notably, "VANDALS" secured the coveted number one spot on the Scottish album charts. The album's lead single, "Heart Stops Beating," enjoyed a remarkable two-year stint on the Bauer Radio playlist.

On March 26, Beattie showcased his musical prowess at the center circle of Ibrox Park during the Rangers Football Club Legends match, delivering captivating performances of "Heart Stops Beating" and "Salamander Street." In a surprising turn of events, manager Alex McLeish tapped Beattie to join Rangers and other world legends on the field, where he showcased his skills for the final ten minutes of the game.
