Ceephax Acid Crew is the electronic music project of British producer Andy Jenkinson, known for a distinctive approach to acid house, techno and analogue electronic music. Emerging during the late 1990s, Jenkinson developed a cult following through music that embraces classic drum machines and synthesizers while combining serious production skills with a playful, eccentric personality.
Ceephax Acid Crew draws heavily on the distinctive sound of machines associated with early acid house and rave, particularly squelching basslines, rapid drum programming and bright melodic sequences. Across numerous releases, Jenkinson has explored acid, jungle, techno and related electronic styles while maintaining an intentionally raw character that distinguishes his work from more polished forms of contemporary dance music.
Live, Ceephax Acid Crew turns analogue electronic music into an energetic and unpredictable performance. Hardware based sequences, pounding rhythms and rapidly evolving acid lines create a set designed for movement, while Jenkinson's personality adds humour to the experience. For acid house enthusiasts, rave veterans and electronic music fans seeking something unconventional, Ceephax Acid Crew offers a distinctive live encounter with underground dance culture.
