Clean Cut Kid is an indie pop band hailing from Liverpool, England, formed in 2012. The current lineup includes Mike Halls (lead vocals, guitar), Evelyn Halls (backing vocals, keys), Ross Higginson (drums), and Gareth Bullock (bass guitar), with the original bassist Saul Godman departing in late 2017.
The band made their debut with the release of "Vitamin C" in July 2015, earning accolades from DIY Magazine and The Line of Best Fit. Their infectious debut marked the beginning of a promising journey in the indie music scene.
Clean Cut Kid's extensive touring schedule began to take shape in 2016, covering 91 shows and 31 different festivals across five countries. Notable support slots on tours with The Courteeners, The Kooks, Michael Kiwanuka, The Killers, and Circa Waves further solidified their presence in the music scene.
May 2017 marked a significant milestone with the release of their debut album, "Felt," showcasing their melodic and vibrant indie pop sound. The album received positive reviews and added to their growing fanbase.
In October 2017, the band revealed through various channels that they had commenced work on their second album on the very day they finished "Felt." Simultaneously, they announced their decision to part ways with Polydor, expressing a desire for more creative freedom and opting for independence.
Despite changes, Clean Cut Kid continues to captivate audiences with their distinctive sound and dynamic performances, maintaining a strong presence in the indie music landscape.
