Dead Finks are a post punk band whose music combines angular guitars, restless rhythms and an independent spirit shaped by the underground music tradition. Their songs explore the sharper edges of alternative rock, drawing on post punk and experimental influences while maintaining a distinctive identity of their own. The result is a sound that feels deliberately raw, immediate and suited to listeners who prefer their guitar music away from polished mainstream conventions.
At the centre of Dead Finks is an approach that values tension, repetition and atmosphere as much as conventional melody. Guitar lines and driving rhythms create a foundation for songs that can shift between controlled restraint and noisy release. This balance gives the band's material a sense of unpredictability, connecting the influence of earlier post punk with the energy and experimentation of contemporary independent music.
A Dead Finks live show brings these qualities into sharper focus, allowing the band's rhythmic intensity and abrasive guitar textures to fill the room. The directness of the performance suits intimate venues, where the boundary between band and audience can become especially immediate. For listeners interested in post punk, noise rock and independent guitar music, Dead Finks offer a live experience built around energy, experimentation and a refusal to play things safe.
