Departure Lounge are a British alternative band formed in the late 1990s, known for combining melodic songwriting with atmospheric arrangements and an adventurous approach to indie music. Led by singer and songwriter Tim Keegan, the group developed a distinctive sound incorporating elements of indie rock, folk, electronic music and cinematic pop. Their thoughtful songwriting and detailed arrangements helped them build a dedicated following among listeners drawn to inventive British alternative music.

The band's catalogue includes releases such as Out of Here and Too Late to Die Young, records that demonstrate their ability to move between intimate songwriting and more expansive musical landscapes. Departure Lounge have explored acoustic instrumentation, electronic textures and carefully layered production, creating music that feels both personal and widescreen. Their work has earned them a lasting place among the more distinctive independent acts to emerge around the turn of the millennium.

In concert, Departure Lounge bring the detail and emotional character of their recordings into a more immediate setting. Their music lends itself naturally to live performance, where subtle arrangements can develop into richer and more dynamic moments. For longtime followers and audiences discovering the band for the first time, a Departure Lounge concert offers an opportunity to experience thoughtful songwriting, atmospheric musicianship and an individual approach to alternative music.
