An incredible absurdist experiment, Devo became one the most original bands from the punk new wave scene. A mix of twitchy rhythms, robotic clangs and satirical social observations, 1978’s “Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!” put them on the map.
After follow up album “Duty Now for the Future” Devo really hit their stride with the commercial success of 1980’s “Freedom of Choice” and hit single “Whip It”.
Devo have continued release albums up until 2010’s lauded “Something for Everybody”. Devo will be playing shows throughout 2023 to celebrate their fiftieth anniversary.
