Dhani Harrison (/ˈdæni/ DAN-ee; born 1 August 1978) is a British-American musician, composer, and singer-songwriter, and the only child of George and Olivia Harrison. He began his professional music career assisting in the recording of his father's final album, "Brainwashed," completing it with Jeff Lynne after George Harrison's death in 2001.
In 2002, Harrison formed the band thenewno2, which performed at major festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza. He released his debut solo album, "In Parallel," in 2017, followed by a live version in the film "In///Paralive" in 2019. His single "Motorways (Erase It)" was praised by Rolling Stone for its psychedelic style.
Harrison's composing career began in 2013, scoring the film "Beautiful Creatures" with Paul Hicks. They have since composed for various films and TV shows, including "Good Girls Revolt," "The Divide," "Learning to Drive," "Outsiders," "Matangi/Maya/M.I.A.," and more. Harrison and Hicks received a nomination for 'Best Music Score' at the International Documentary Association Awards for their work on the documentary "Matangi/Maya/M.I.A."
Harrison grew up in Henley-on-Thames, attended Brown University, and initially pursued a career in car design before following in his father's musical footsteps. His dedication to his father's legacy included organizing the George Fest tribute concert and participating in the Grammy Salute to The Beatles.
