Dr Feelgood & Nine Below Zero bring two celebrated names from British rhythm and blues together for a night packed with sharp musicianship, driving rhythms and decades of live music heritage. Dr Feelgood emerged from Canvey Island in the 1970s and became a defining force in the pub rock movement, while Nine Below Zero developed their own reputation for energetic rhythm and blues performances at the end of the decade and into the 1980s.
Dr Feelgood are associated with enduring tracks including "Roxette", "Back in the Night" and "Milk and Alcohol", with their stripped back approach helping influence the musical landscape that preceded punk. Nine Below Zero combined blues traditions with the urgency of rock and new wave, building a loyal following through albums including "Live at the Marquee", "Don't Point Your Finger" and "Third Degree". Together, the two bands represent a substantial chapter in the history of British rhythm and blues.
Live performance has always been central to both bands, making a shared bill particularly appealing for fans of blues, rock and classic British music. Expect harmonica, guitar, driving rhythm sections and songs created to come alive in front of an audience. For longtime followers and newer listeners interested in the roots of British pub rock and rhythm and blues, Dr Feelgood & Nine Below Zero offer a powerful double bill filled with musical history and stage energy.
