EMEI is a Chinese-American singer-songwriter whose alternative pop combines sharp lyrics, bold vocals and catchy melodies. Based in Los Angeles, she writes songs that bring humour and self-reflection to subjects including ambition, uncertainty and everyday life. Her music draws on pop and alternative influences, pairing direct storytelling with colourful production.
EMEI reached a wider audience with Late to the Party, which gained attention online and appeared on her 2022 EP End of an Era. She followed it with projects including Scatterbrain and RABBITHOLE, building a catalogue of songs that balances memorable hooks with personal observations. Her releases also include the EP Night at the Opera, adding another collection to her growing body of work.
EMEI has taken her music to audiences internationally, following early headline shows in London with tours in the United States and Europe. Her live performances bring the character and energy of her recordings to the stage, giving fans the chance to hear songs from across her releases. For listeners who enjoy expressive alternative pop and witty songwriting, an EMEI concert offers an opportunity to experience her music live.
