Hag Torches, Mullein Candles Making offers a hands on experience centred on the traditional use of the mullein plant to create decorative torches or candles. Sometimes known as hag torches, these distinctive creations connect practical craft with folklore, seasonal traditions and an appreciation of natural materials, making the workshop an unusual alternative to conventional arts and crafts events.
Mullein has a long history of practical and traditional uses, and its tall dried flower stalks have been associated with torch making. A workshop focused on the craft provides participants with an opportunity to explore the process in a guided environment while learning more about the materials and traditions connected with the finished pieces.
Taking part in Hag Torches, Mullein Candles Making turns the experience into something creative and interactive, giving visitors the satisfaction of making an object themselves rather than simply watching a demonstration. For anyone interested in traditional crafts, folklore, natural materials or unusual workshops, the event offers an atmospheric and memorable way to try something different.
