His Lordship are a British rock and roll duo featuring guitarist and vocalist James Walbourne and drummer Kristoffer Sonne. Built around the explosive chemistry between guitar and drums, the band deliver a fast, loud and energetic take on rock and roll that draws inspiration from garage rock, punk, rockabilly and the raw spirit of early rhythm and blues. Their stripped back approach puts powerful riffs, driving rhythms and direct songwriting at the heart of the music.
James Walbourne brings extensive experience as a guitarist and songwriter, including his work with The Pretenders and other established artists, while Kristoffer Sonne provides the forceful percussion that powers the duo's distinctive sound. His Lordship have channelled those musical backgrounds into their own uncompromising identity, releasing material packed with urgent guitars, infectious hooks and the kind of restless energy designed to make an immediate impact.
Live, His Lordship turn their minimal setup into a remarkably full and ferocious sound. Rapid guitar lines, pounding drums and an old school rock and roll attitude make their concerts feel immediate and unpredictable, with little separating the musicians from the energy of the crowd. For fans of garage rock, punk and high voltage guitar music, a His Lordship concert offers a chance to experience rock and roll in its rawest and most exhilarating form.
