IMPERICON SHRED FEST brings together the intensity of modern heavy music in an event created for fans of hardcore, metalcore and related sounds. Connected with the wider IMPERICON community and its longstanding presence within alternative music culture, the festival celebrates powerful live performances, heavy riffs and the shared energy that has made the contemporary hardcore and metal scene such a dedicated international community.
The festival format gives audiences the opportunity to experience multiple artists and different approaches to heavy music within the same event. Crushing breakdowns, aggressive vocals, technical guitar work and fast moving performances can all form part of a programme built around the harder end of the alternative music spectrum. For dedicated fans, the combination of established names and new discoveries makes the festival environment an important part of the experience.
Live, IMPERICON SHRED FEST is centred on volume, movement and audience participation. Heavy music takes on additional impact in a packed venue, where powerful performances and energetic crowds create an atmosphere that recordings alone cannot reproduce. Whether attending for a favourite band or discovering another artist on the lineup, the festival offers an intense celebration of contemporary heavy music and its live community.
