Directed by Jordan Fein, this bold revival brings Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s masterpiece to life. This spellbinding show invites you to explore what really happens after “happily ever after.”
What is Into the Woods about?
Into the Woods weaves together the stories of familiar fairytale characters, including Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack, and Rapunzel, into a clever and dark musical adventure.
When a Baker and his Wife are cursed by a Witch and must journey into the woods to break the spell, they encounter a world full of unexpected consequences and moral twists. As wishes are granted and dreams come true, the characters soon learn that every choice comes at a cost…

The show has since had multiple major productions including Broadway revivals, West End runs, and a 2022 Broadway revival which received 11 Olivier Award nominations at the 2026 ceremony, winning 2 awards including Best Musical Revival.
A Disney film adaptation directed by Rob Marshall was released in 2014, starring Meryl Streep, James Corden, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine and Johnny Depp.
