Classical singing sensations - Jonathan Antoine and Charlotte Jaconelli - who shot to fame in this year’s Britain’s Got Talent performing in front of an audience of 14 million, embark on their first nationwide UK tour in June 2013.
The tour follows the release of their debut album ‘Together’, which shot to No5 in the UK last month and, in so doing, became the highest every entry by a classical album into the main album chart. The duo also return to TV screens on Friday 2nd November in an emotional and revealing documentary chronicling their lives since finding fame on the show. The programme gives an intimate insight into their unique journey and sees Jonathan and Charlotte travel across Europe to meet and perform with some of their idols – including receiving master-classes from Pavarotti’s vocal coach Leone Magiera and also world famous tenor Rolanda Villazon, who describes Jonathan’s voice as ‘absolutely astonishing.’
Of Jonathan, Rolanda says:
“It is amazing ... that he's 17 and able to sing with that confidence and solid voice. He's a very special performer. I can see he's a special human being and the voice is the expression of the soul and the voice.”
He goes on to say of the duo’s incredible performance in front of him in Paris:
“It was great to hear them live - they're special, they transmit a lot of emotions, and yet they're very natural ... and the young age is something that especially impresses you. I was very happy to work with them.
Jonathan & Charlotte Fan Report: Ratings and Reviews
I came from Queensland, Australia for a week PURELY for the concert, no other reason. Jonathan and Charlotte are unbelievable! I loved Jonathans solos, as he sings from the feet up, he feels the songs not just sings the words. I disagree that he has to move about and not be static, its his voice I came to listen to not him moving around the stage, Pavarotti didnt ,nor Bocelli, Domingo or Carreras when performing outside of an opera production.
Charlottes voice has changed since her BGT a...
Wonderful Experience
London, Hammersmith Apollo, 29/06/2013
This was not a concert but a wonderful experience - exceeded all expectations. They have come a long way since BGT - very polished & professional. They are singing live & not just a few songs, they were just amazing. All songs from their Together album and some from their 2nd album due out in Oct. There were also a few wonderful surprises in their repertoire! If you did not have tickets - big mistake - any opportunity you can, go & hear these kids. They had fans who travelled f...
JONATHAN & CHARLOTTE
London, Hammersmith Apollo, 29/06/2013
Jonathan and Charlotte were brilliant, moved me to tears. Loved the Les Mis medley. It was great to see Jonathan so animated when he sang his own solos, he needs to generally move about more, not be so static.
Support accordian act etc was good except he didnt introduce his band? Rude!
Would rather not have had the 12 yr old girl there. Spoiled it for me.
Also there was alot of movement from people seemed to be with the show / technical guys in black.
Plus even more disturbance from pe...
