knitting bring an independent spirit to contemporary alternative music, creating songs shaped by distinctive textures, expressive songwriting and a willingness to explore beyond straightforward genre boundaries. Their sound offers an intriguing proposition for listeners drawn to emerging guitar music, underground scenes and artists developing an identity outside the conventions of mainstream pop.

At the centre of knitting is an approach that values atmosphere as much as immediacy, allowing contrasting sounds and dynamics to become part of the music. This combination gives their material a character suited to listeners who enjoy discovering new artists and following the continuing evolution of alternative and independent music.

Live, knitting can bring additional intensity to their music, with guitars, rhythm and vocals taking on a more physical quality in the surroundings of a venue. The direct relationship between band and audience makes concerts an ideal setting for discovering their sound. For fans searching for emerging alternative music, knitting offer a chance to experience a developing act where atmosphere and live energy meet.
