KODIAK JACK are a Portsmouth-based rock band, comprising Bryn Roberts (vocals), Matt Forster (drums), Kev Farren (bass), Jeff Arnold (lead guitar) and Jon Karp (guitar and backing vocals).
Having already released (and sold out) two EPs on Angry Badger Records, the debut album is ready to go! ‘Your Death: My Glory’ is composed like a Greatest Hits, there are no space fillers here, just 10 tracks of unbridled rock ‘n’ roll!
From the rock behemoth that is ‘Crossfire’ with its cinderblock sized riff, through to the Sabbath-meets-Kiss of ‘Wasted Youth’ or the truly epic ‘We Are Your Saviours’, this album is bursting with pop hooks hiding behind rock guitars.
‘Waves’ marries a dirty riff with a soaring vocal to dazzling effect and the title track is destined to become a live favourite with the irresistible sing-a-long chorus.
In the last 12 months alone they have supported the likes of Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), Kobra And The Lotus (twice), Elvis Jackson and New Device as well as selling out their own hometown headline shows.
2011 also saw them get album reviews in Play Magazine and Classic Rock, feature on a cover mount CD for Metal Hammer and have a track used on Eurosport's coverage of the British Super Bikes coverage. Work is also underway to get the title track of the album Youth Death My Glory available for the Rock Band video game.
2012 is already looking good with a headline slot at Monto Water Rats for January and a tour taking shape for February
