Les Imprimes is the musical project of Norwegian singer, songwriter, producer and multi instrumentalist Morten Martens, whose sophisticated sound draws inspiration from soul, funk and classic pop. Working largely from his own studio, Martens has developed a warm and carefully detailed style filled with expressive vocals, rich arrangements and melodies that recall vintage soul while maintaining a contemporary character.
Les Imprimes gained wider international attention through releases on the respected Big Crown Records label. The album "Reverie" introduced many listeners to Martens' distinctive musical world, combining romantic songwriting, polished instrumentation and the analogue warmth associated with classic soul recordings. His work demonstrates a deep appreciation for musical tradition without simply reproducing the sounds of the past.
In concert, Les Imprimes brings this carefully crafted material into a more immediate setting, allowing the grooves, melodies and emotional character of the songs to develop through live performance. For audiences drawn to modern soul, sophisticated songwriting and vintage influenced production, a Les Imprimes show offers an opportunity to hear one of Norway's distinctive contemporary soul projects in person.
