Born and raised in a small market town in Yorkshire but making big indie music out of his bedroom studio, Lucas Watt is one to watch in the UK indie-pop scene. Orbiting around his raw and honest vocals, Lucas' tunes fuse the guitar music he grew up listening to with a taste of the new-age sound of today. Writing about the complications of life, love and friends, his music speaks volumes to anyone who listens.
Lucas is no stranger to the stage having supported the likes of The Snuts, Giant Rooks & Larkins to name a few. However it was his first UK tour back in 2019 opening for JP Cooper that really cemented him in the scene. He was invited back on a string of UK tour dates with JP in summer last year. Along with his best mates/band mates, Lucas sold out his first headline show in Manchester earlier this year and is set to headline the city's legendary Deaf Institute on September 15th.
Since releasing his first single in 2016, Lucas has amassed over half a million streams across more than 100 countries. Taking inspiration from Sam Fender, Holly Humberstone, The 1975 and everyone in between but still producing a distinctly unique sound true to himself, Lucas Watt could be the indie scene's answer to their craving for new music.
