Malphino are a London based collective known for their colourful fusion of cumbia, psychedelic music and tropical rhythms. Drawing inspiration from musical traditions across Latin America and the Caribbean, the group create an imaginative sound filled with percussion, hypnotic grooves, melodic instrumentation and a playful sense of musical adventure. Their music transports listeners into a fictional tropical world while remaining firmly rooted in the communal energy of dance music.

The collective have developed a distinctive identity by combining traditional influences with psychedelic textures and contemporary experimentation. Their album Visit Malphino introduced listeners to the imagined island of Malphino, using music to create a vivid landscape of tropical rhythms and cinematic atmosphere. Cumbia provides an important foundation, but the group's broad range of influences gives their material a character that extends far beyond any single genre.
